If You Grab Tomato Juice When Your Dog Gets Sprayed By A Skunk, You Aren’t Helping Him At All.
2. Bath Time
Keep in mind that skunk odor is intensified when it gets wet. So things will get worse before they get better. While wearing gloves, spread the mixture you created all over your dog (avoiding eyes and mouth) and let it sit for a minute. Rinse completely, and then wash with a pet shampoo. You can find a great shampoo here.
1. Dry And Relax
After those two washings, your pup should be smelling better, and is probably calming down. Completely dry him off and then give him a quiet place to relax after his ordeal.
