Santa Paws Visits Florida Shelter To Bring Toys To The Good Boys And Girls
Andrea Powell
On Christmas Eve, "Santa Paws" made a special visit to the Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with gifts for all the good boys and girls waiting for a forever home.
While a loving home was at the top of all their lists, each dog was thrilled to have a new toy to play with. The shelter shared a heartwarming video showing the dogs' reactions to seeing Santa and getting their gift.
They posted it on TikTok and wrote, "So much joy. It’s hard to express how much joy a single toy can bring to a shelter pet’s life. Luckily, one magical person knew exactly how to bring that joy to our shelter dogs this holiday!"
They went on to say, "When Santa Paws arrived, all of our pups ran to say hello and receive a special gift!"
Santa made his way to each kennel and spent some time talking to the dogs before tossing a toy into their kennels. Their tails never stopped wagging and this small gesture made the day of the homeless dogs.
These dogs are waiting to be your best friend. Check out all the adoptable dogs here.
Several of the dogs are available for the shelter's "Holiday Sleepover" program to give the overlooked dogs a break from the shelter and time with a loving foster family. What better way to ring in the new year than by helping a shelter dog?!
Learn more about the program and how you can help care for these precious dogs until they find their special someone on the shelter's website.
