BREAKING NEWS: Major Pet Food Brand Recalls Food Due To Salmonella

Carnivore Meat Company of Green Bay, WI is voluntarily recalling two lot of its Vital Essentials freeze-dried dog foods due to possible salmonella contamination.

This is a voluntary recall after one of the batches came back positive for salmonella in a test performed by the FDA. No pet illnesses have been reported at this time.

Salmonella has been the cause of multiple recalls this year.

Symptoms Of Salmonella In Pets

– lethargy
– diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
– fever
– vomiting
– decreased appetite
– abdominal pain

Pets that are infected can be carriers and pass it on to other animals and humans. If you have fed any of the recalled product and your pet is showing any of the above symptoms, call your vet immediately.
