BREAKING NEWS: Major Pet Food Brand Recalls Food Due To Salmonella

Steve’s Real Food of Salt Lake City, Utah, is voluntarily recalling one lot of its Raw Frozen Dog Food Turkey Canine Recipe due to possible salmonella contamination.

This is a voluntary recall after one of the batches came back positive for salmonella in a test performed by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. No pet illnesses have been reported at this time.

Salmonella has been the cause of multiple recalls in the past month.

Best by date: 9/27/18

Symptoms Of Salmonella In Pets

– lethargy
– diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
– fever
– vomiting
– decreased appetite
– abdominal pain

Pets that are infected can be carriers and pass it on to other animals and humans. If you have fed any of the recalled product and your pet is showing any of the above symptoms, call your vet immediately.

What To Do

If you have purchased this food and the lot number matches the recall, return the food to the store you purchased it at for a full refund.
