Shelter Animals Ask “Be Mine?” This Valentine’s Day

Every February 14th couples around the world declare their unconditional love for one another in elaborate displays of affection and confection.

And convention suggests no one should spend Valentine’s Day alone.

At least that’s the thinking at one New Jersey shelter, where some eager animals are waiting to find their special someone. Doing their part to help, Liberty Humane Society has offered to drop all adoption fees to a flat rate of $14 starting on Valentine’s Day until the end of the month.

Even the animals are contributing to the cause, posing for a series of Valentine’s-themed photographs to help spread the word. The adorable portraits prove once again that one picture can save a life when used to bring out each pet’s personality. Even if you can’t adopt one yourself, you can still see more of these amazing pets.
