Kitten Recovers From Serious Illness, Now He’s a Goofy Cat Ready to Make a Forever Family Laugh

Meet Mr. Sweets, who has had a long journey back to “available for adoption”!

His vast array of laughter-evoking expressions have not been reduced by all that he has been through. Starting out as a terrified little kitten of a litter of four being sold off to any takers, he and his siblings were taken in by The Cat House on the Kings, with his cat parents being provided with spay and neuter also by The Cat House.

The litter, that looked like they all had different cat parents, went into an experienced foster home to grow. Grow they did, thrive they did, play they did, come into their own they did! Mr. Sweets came into our Adoption Center located in Fresno with his siblings in hopes of finding their forever families.

Each of these purrsonalities still had some of their reservations with new situations or visitors, so this made adoption harder for some of the litter. Then, unfortunately, Mr. Sweets got what seemed like a cold, but it was determined that he in fact had FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). Fortunately at The Cat House on the Kings, we now have a new FIP treatment house and area where we provide the long treatment with an 80% save rate.

Mr. Sweets went to receive his 84 days of daily medication, followed by 84 days of observation out at our Sanctuary. He was a champ and a character going through his treatment, and he kept his caretakers in stitches with his uproarious facial expressions each day!

Now we are thrilled to have Mr. Sweets, his comical feline face, and his proper tuxedo wrapped self back in our Fresno Adoption Center. Please help this humorous aloof boy find his person or persons now!

Mr. Sweets is a super sweet and oh so friendly little one year old guy. Don’t let his expression fool you. He has the cutest face and hilarious expressions! He loves snuggles and attention from his foster family. He is always ready for tummy rubs and chin scratches.

Mr. Sweets bounces around playfully with his siblings and likes to bat balls and kitty toys around the room. He gets along well with other cats and kittens. He has not been exposed to dogs or children. Mr. Sweets is a wonderful little kitten who is looking for a forever home where he will be loved and adored.
