Leia the Pug is now 14 years old, and it’s taken a toll on her body. She became pretty immobile and feared things as simple as walking across the floor.
Her humans had ripped their carpets out and installed wood flooring, which Leia was unable to get across without slipping and sliding. Being that she was older, her humans were afraid she’d fall and sprain something.
So, they came up with the genius idea of putting little socks on her. Surprisingly, Leia can’t get enough of her socks! She has them in many different colors and patterns, and refuses to walk around without them.
“She will stand on the living room rug and bark for me or cry, trying to get around if the socks aren’t on,” Niki Geroni-Lajoie, Leia’s owner, told The Dodo. “She runs around and you can tell she’s really happy and laggy.”
