Owners Ask Vet To Euthanize Their 3-Legged Puppy So They Don’t Have to Deal With Her Anymore

When Luna’s owners discovered she would need to have one of her legs amputated after an injury, they asked for her to be euthanized.

The 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois was perfectly healthy, aside from her leg injury, and she had a lot of life left. Sadly, her owners couldn’t fathom bringing her home with just 3 legs. They would’ve rather seen her dead than slightly disabled.

Thankfully, the veterinarian refused to euthanize sweet Luna and when her owners heard the news, they simply left the veterinary clinic without her.

The poor dog not only had to undergo a life-changing surgery, but now, she had to undergo it without the support of the very people who were supposed to love and provide for her.

While she may not have had her family, she did have Howl Of A Dog rescue to back her. The rescue stepped in to care for Luna when no one else would.

In a video shared on YouTube, the explained:

“We don’t have other details about her life with her previous owners, only that she had been bought as a puppy and they kept her in a kennel in the backyard of their house.”

On their website, they went on to say: “Her disability did not break her beautiful spirit, she is full of life and joy, cuddly and playful and does what dogs know best: fully live in the present moment.”

They added that’s “super smart and curious” and she loves learning new tricks! She’s truly a dog that doesn’t let her disability hold her back. She can still run full force and enjoys plenty of zoomies.

Hopefully she finds the perfect forever home with a family that will love her, 3-legged and all!
