Woman Sings To Her Dying Dog And Tells Him To ‘Leave Peacefully’ In Heartrending Video
Dogs are always there for us when we need them, so when the devastating time comes to say goodbye – all they ask is that we are by their side.
A family in Korea shared a heartbreaking video of the final moments with their beloved dog, Okey. The 16-year-old white Pomeranian was being cradled in the arms of a young boy as the mother softly sang to the dog.
She sang, “Hey Okey, let’s get you something yummy to eat, all right?” She repeated this line multiple times and Okey used all his strength to nod in response.
Even if everyone cannot understand all that is being said in the video – the heartbreak and love for the dog is obvious and something we all can relate to. Saying goodbye to your best friend is one of the hardest things you will have to do.
In the video, the little boy and woman were both crying as she told the sweet dog to “leave peacefully”. The woman stopped singing for a moment and asked the dog if it could hear her and Okey nodded. Through the tears, the woman said, “Okey, mummy love you a lot.”
Okey crossed the rainbow bridge and the family was beyond heartbroken. The little boy and woman cried out with grief as they held their sweet dog. The last thing the woman said to Okey was, “Mama loves you, thank you and have a safe journey. Go in peace, my child.”
The heart-wrenching video has been viewed over 200,000 times and many people offered their condolences in the comments. “Sorry for your loss! This video have make me cry! RIP Doggie and run free to the rainbow Bridge. I miss my dog too,” wrote one person.
Another posted, “I’m so sorry for your loss. So very, very sorry…”
