Woman Tries To Win Her Cat’s Affection By Wearing A Fake Beard
Cats can be fickle with their attention and affection, or at least that is what one woman hoped. While we may never truly know what cats are thinking, we can take a guess based on their behavior.
It is said that dogs are man’s best friend, but Roswell proves cats can also be man’s best friend.
Roswell is a 5-year-old polydactyl feline who is a proud daddy’s boy. The two are constantly cuddling and it is obvious that Drew, his dad, is his favorite. However, Lindsey, Drew’s wife, refused to give up hope and went to extreme lengths to win her cat’s favor.
She watched the two best buds snuggle together and noticed that Roswell paid special attention to Drew’s beard.
She wondered if that was all it took to win Roswell’s love…
It was worth a shot, so she headed to the store and purchased a fake beard.
She found one that was as close to Drew’s as possible and put it on. Within minutes of lounging on the couch sporting the new beard, Roswell sauntered over to brush against it.
It was working!
“I think that I have unlocked a certain cheat code,” Lindsey told The Dodo.
She wanted to see if it truly was the beard or if Roswell preferred Drew, so she put on her husband’s hat and shirt and waited.
Roswell came over and nuzzled her but as soon as she took off the hat and beard he left. Lindsey asked “I’ll put the beard back on. Will that make you like me?”
Clearly, Roswell is one loyal cat and instead curled up on his dad’s hat.
Lindsey is not giving up but admitted that “nine times out of ten he will still pick my husband.”
Roswell and Drew even have a special hugging routine, so Lindsey has her work cut out for her.
