Rescuers with Love Furry Friends responded to a call about two dogs abandoned at a Metro Market grocery store.
The dogs had reportedly been there for a week before help was called. When rescuers arrived, they weren’t quite sure where to find the dogs.
The grocery store grounds were large and the dogs were nowhere to be found. However, they were eventually discovered wandering around behind the store.
The mother-daughter duo was so grateful to be found. It was clear that they didn’t want to be living on the streets any longer and happily went with the rescuers.

Love Furry Friends took the two little dogs to the vet first to get a checkup. Thankfully, both dogs, who they named Nelly and Britney, were in great health, despite their time out fending for themselves.
After the dogs were cleared by the veterinarian, they were treated to a spa day. Both dogs enjoyed a bath, nail trimmings, and hair cuts.
Hopefully they felt as great as they looked!
Thankfully for the two doggies, they’re now living in a loving temporary home until a permanent placement can be made.
They’re getting plenty of love and care while they wait.
The rescuers described them as being sweet and playful. Whoever ends up with them will be one lucky family!
