Saved from the Streets of Mexico, Mia the Rescue Cat Needs a Forever Home

Just like people, some animals just seem to have a harder time of it than others. Take Mia, a rescue cat saved from the streets of Mexico a day before she gave birth to her babies. She approached her now foster mom meowing loudly as if asking for help. She was taken to the vet and, as it turned out, she was having trouble delivering her kittens, so the vet helped her welcome two healthy boys. They’ve been adopted, and now it’s mama’s turn!

Street Cats

Mia is said to be very laid back, chill, and sweet. She has great manners and follows rules. She also likes scratching posts, loves to sunbathe on the cat tree, and can be playful at times. A wand toy or little mice are her favorites. She does enjoy pets from her human, but she isn’t needy.

Feline immunodeficiency virus

Mia is also FIV positive (Feline immunodeficiency virus), but she doesn’t display any symptoms and is generally healthy overall. All this means for her is that her immune system can’t fight off secondary issues that arise as easily, but she can live a long, normal life like any non-positive cat. She also CAN live with other kitty friends, if applicable, as it is spread through deep bite wounds. Being spayed and indoors only helps with this!

Mamma Mia

Mia is spayed now, so she won’t be having any more kitties. Determined to be approximately 5 years old, she is house trained and has no special needs. She tolerates other kitties in her foster home, but would rather spend time to herself and would be fine as the only queen of her castle. She can also adapt to respectful dogs and kids with proper introductions.
