This Dog Doesn’t Just Have A Great Name, He Has A Great Story Too!

This adorable dog, filled with love and smiles (and overwhelming cuteness!), doesn’t just have the greatest name… He has a great story too! Since leaving the animal shelter, all Meaty can do is smile. He is grateful because he knows he has a terrific family that loves him. He has pawsome humans and pawsome animal siblings. What a lucky boy!

Many dogs, especially pit bull mixes like Meaty, aren’t always so lucky. They often remain in shelters looking for forever homes for a very long time. That is why it is so important to spay and neuter, and to spread awareness about the problem of pet overpopulation. According to the ASPCA, of the 3.9 million dogs that wind up in shelters, just 35% are adopted.
