Melissa Carlson lost her puppy McCoy two years ago in North Minneapolis. After he went missing, she searched for him day and night, but to no avail. As days turned into months, and months turned into years, Carlson still had a little bit of hope left that one day she’d finally reunite with McCoy.
Thankfully, that day came! Nearly 200 miles from her home, the Animal Humane Society found McCoy and scanned his microchip. They contacted Carlson, who was shocked and relieved to hear the news. She immediately drove to reunite with McCoy, who wagged his tail and gave her lots of kisses. Carlson couldn’t help but cry and their reunion was definitely an emotional one!
It’s unknown where McCoy had been all this time, but he has several scars on his body which indicates that he was most likely living outside. But what matters most is that he’s now safe and back home with the family who loves him to pieces!
