Two friends were out for a dirt bike ride in the hills when they came across a lost dog. They knew the dog had belonged to someone since he was wearing a collar, so they decided to follow him and try to get ahold of him.
The dog was scared and ran away from them, but the friends didn’t give up. They eventually caught up to him and found him hiding under some bushes. They checked his collar which had a nametag that read “Max.” Luckily, a phone number was also on the tag, so they called it right away in the hopes that they could get in touch with his owner. No one answered, so they left a message.
His white fur was very dirty, so they suspected that he had been out there for a while. They gave him a drink from their water bottle. They knew they couldn’t leave this poor pup out there in the middle of nowhere, but they had no way of getting him back. They tied him to a tree while they rushed to get their truck before it became dark outside.
When they got back, the pup was still in the spot they left him, and was very excited to see them. They brought him to their truck, which he hopped right into without hesitation. It was obvious that this pup had been so desperate for help and was so thankful to have finally received it.
Eventually, the owners called them back, and they arranged to meet so she could reunite with her lost pup. Before his human even got to the car, Max was already jumping up on the window and wagging his tail with excitement. He was so happy to finally be back with his family! And this reunion wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for these kind-hearted people.
This is why it’s very important to have an ID tag on your dog’s collar with all of your information on it in case your dog ever goes missing. It’s also very important to have your dog microchipped as well!
