Meet Shelter Pets Who Are Ready For Their Luck To Change On This Month’s Flight to Freedom

The luck of over 40 shelter pets at overcrowded shelters in Alabama and Louisiana is about to change. Many of the dogs and cats arrived as strays or were surrendered by their owners who could no longer care for them. For countless days they have been patiently waiting for someone to pick them.

Sadly, animal shelters across the country are seeing an increase in animal intakes and a decrease in adopters. Dogs and cats are spending more time in shelters, and some are at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and loving homes.

That is why we partner with Greater Good Charities every month to sponsor a Good Flight, called Flight to Freedom, to give highly adoptable pets a second chance. These life-saving flights are possible due to the hard work of shelter teams, volunteers, and your support.

Help us fly over 30 dogs and 15 cats to freedom in Wisconsin on March 19. Meet some of the lucky pets on this month’s flight below.

Erma

Erma is a sweet girl. She was adopted from the shelter and brought back due to no fault of her own, other than her adopters could not keep her anymore. She knows basic commands such as sit, and paw. She LOVES humans, giving kisses, belly rubs, and cuddling. This girl will be the most perfect dog for anyone.

Iggy

Iggy was found as a stray on a very rural road in southern Louisiana. Sadly, we will never know how she ended up there, but we can say she has a bright future ahead of her. She is super sweet, loves to run and play. Overall, she is going to make the best family pet!

Kellie

This adorable feline is ready for a fresh start in Wisconsin. She is friendly, loves to cuddle, and will make the purr-fect companion for one lucky person.

Ben

This young pug mix loves to play and is the perfect gentleman. He was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. Ben is ready to find his forever home and start living his best life.
