The pets were loaded on the Flight to Freedom in the early morning hours of March 19 in Louisiana and have safely landed in Wisconsin. They were all transported back to receiving shelters to settle in before being put up for adoption.

Ben, the young pug mix, was welcomed with open arms to the Humane Society of Jefferson County (HSJC) where he received a warm bath and lots of snuggles. He is already up on the shelter’s website and ready to find his person.

The gentle giant named Buddy also received a bath and lots of love at HSJC. We can’t wait to see who adopts these handsome fellas.

Sweet Kellie and dozens more will soon be ready to find their forever homes. Thanks to the following shelters for taking in shelter dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and giving them the second chance they deserve. Follow the receiving shelters to learn how to adopt one of the pet passengers on this month’s Flight to Freedom.

A huge thank you to all involved, and to you for your generous donations that helped cover the cost to fly these pets to freedom. There are many more shelter pets waiting for their ticket to freedom. Help us fly even more homeless dogs and cats to forever homes by donating towards next month’s flight.

Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety. Together we CAN change the world.
