Grandpa Wears ‘Cone Of Shame’ To Help Dog Feel Better After Surgery

A lot of pet parents would do anything for their fur babies. We’d go the extra mile to get them the best food, exercise, and health care.

We give them baths, brush their teeth, trim their nails, and give them all the pets and treats in the world. Every so often, though, someone does something for a pet that goes above and beyond the norm and it’s quite admirable.

That happened recently when a dog named Ollie needed surgery to remove a small lump from his eyelid.

You might know Ollie from his booty balance skills, but now, Ollie’s grandpa is making a name for himself!

Ollie’s owner, Alex, happened to walk in on her dad sitting with Ollie after the surgery. The dog had to wear a “cone of shame” and it seems as if Alex’s dad thought he should wear one too, to help Ollie feel better!

Alex managed to capture the sweet moment where Ollie sat with his grandad and the two of them had cones on. It was cute and hilarious but really goes to show just far some people will go for a pet.

In an interview with The Dodo, Alex shared that she thought Ollie seemed a little bit better thanks to his grandparent’s kindness.

Alex said, “Ollie definitely seemed a little happier. They’re both cone-free now. Ollie only had to wear it for a week. My dad only lasted a few hours!”
