Blind, Sick Pit Bull Meets Woman Determined To Nurse Him Back To Health

When a homeless Pit Bull named Marco was rescued, he was in terrible condition. He had mange all over his body, he was underweight, and he had cataracts that were so severe, he was blind.

Marco’s condition was grim but to make matters worse, he also needed expensive cataracts surgery. Rescuers at GO Rescue Pet Adoption Center had little hope for Marco. The odds were certainly stacked against him… until he het a woman who just wouldn’t give up!

Georgia Obenaus took one look at Marco and felt a deep connection that convinced her that his life was worth saving. She went on a crusade to get him well and find him a forever family.

First, however, she had to fundraise money for cataract surgery. She started an online fundraiser and people from around the world were so moved by Marco’s story that they gave to his worthy cause.

After surgery, Marco made his way into the room where his biggest cheerleader waited for him. He heard Obenaus’s voice and was happily overwhelmed to finally see what his hero looked like. How precious!

Next, Obenaus had to find him that perfect forever home. Well, that worked out too! A couple that was so moved by the plea for his surgery, that had donated money to help, also wanted him to be apart of their family! It didn’t get any better than this!

Marco got his deserving happily ever after and his biggest advocate, Georgia Obenaus, could rest easy that she did everything in her power to give a homeless, blind Pit Bull a real fighting chance.
