How do you spell loyal…D-O-G.
Dogs are always there for us when we need them. Elisabeth Dunn Price, 36 weeks pregnant, was in the bathroom and working through some morning sickness when she noticed her loyal dog, Biscuit, next to the toilet.
Biscuit, 50% aussie, 25% corgi and 25% husky, was fostered by the family as a puppy. They quickly fell in love with his sweet personality, so they adopted him. Ever since, he has been showing his appreciation and love by never leaving their sides.
Price is in the bathroom often because of a condition that causes severe nausea through pregnancy called hypermesis gravidarum. As the nausea persisted and she remained next to the toilet, so did her dog.
“It doesn’t matter if I’m sick all night, he will stay by my side,” Price told the Dodo. “He won’t sleep unless I’m in bed. He won’t leave the bathroom to eat or drink. He stays with me, even if it’s for eight to 12 hours at a time. He frequently doses off leaning against me, only to quickly awaken and resume his duty of watching me.”
Since Biscuit will not leave the bathroom, his mom has brought his food and water bowls in with them. The loving dog never lets his mom out of his sight. Even when she is resting in bed, Biscuit has his eyes on her.
“I will never know what we did to deserve dogs. True, unconditional love,” wrote Price.
She already knows that Biscuit and her baby will be best friends. Share this sweet story with all your dog-loving friends!
