A woman named Jean Puegh was driving her SUV in Grand Haven, Michigan, when she heard meows somewhere nearby as she pulled up to a red light. She then realized that the meows were coming from underneath her car.
It turns out that a tiny kitten had somehow gotten stuck in the wheel well of her Chevrolet Encore. Puegh drove a good while before she realized. She immediately called 911 for advice. They suggested that she take her car to a dealership to see if mechanics could get the kitten out.
Puegh drove straight to a nearby dealership, where mechanics were able to safely remove the kitten from the wheel well rather quickly. The kitten was very afraid, but was thankfully unharmed.
The best part? The kitten was adopted by an employee at the dealership. His new mom, Sara Weeber, decided to name him Encore after the model of the SUV that he was stuck under.
It’s unknown where the kitten came from or how he got trapped there, but what matters most is that he got a happy ending. If Puegh ignored the sounds and kept driving, the kitten may not be alive. Thankfully, she did the right thing and helped this adorable little guy out!
If you ever have a feeling that something isn’t right or an animal needs rescuing, trust your gut! You could wind up saving a life just like Puegh did.
