When the family first spotted the kitty, it was mid-November and he was hiding underneath their trampoline. They gave him some food, which made him stick around.
The family had a chicken coop in their yard which housed nine chickens. The kitten liked the warm shed and started to spend a lot of time in it. But the family never expected to discover what they saw.
The kitten began cuddling up with the chickens! He loved them, and the chickens loved him right back!
The family built an insulated cat house with a heating source for the cat, but the cat preferred the warmth of his chicken friends.
Not only does the kitten snuggle with the chickens, but he follows them everywhere! They play together, eat together, and one day the cat was even seen lying on the eggs.
The family decided to name the kitten Caramel, and took her in as their own. Not only did she get along with their chickens, but she loved their dog, Newt, as well!
Caramel spends most of his time inside the house now, but he still gets to visit his chicken friends in the coop.
Animal friendships are amazing, and love definitely knows no species!
