A cat, named Jon Snow, was found all alone in an alleyway in South Korea. He was on the brink of death, starving, dehydrated, and had a severe upper respiratory infection. No one thought he’d survive, but then Rachel Brown came into the picture.
Brown had been searching for weeks for a cat to adopt. When she came across this sick cat, she knew he was the one. Despite him being in bad shape, Brown couldn’t get him out of her head. So her boyfriend called the shelter, but they told him the cat probably wouldn’t make it.
Brown didn’t care what the shelter thought. She knew she had to help this poor little guy. So she went to the shelter to get him. When she first saw him, he was hunched over in a wire cage with a helpless look on his face.
After filling out necessary adoption paperwork, she rushed him to the emergency vet. Despite his poor health, Jon Snow remained resilient. “He did try to get up and walk out of his carrier, so I could tell he still had a fight in him,” Brown told The Dodo. “He meowed when he couldn’t see me through the mesh, and he kept staring at me.”
