If you happen to live around goats or if you’ve ever had a goat in your life, you realize that they are adorable and interesting creatures. Even just watching videos of goats online can put a big smile on your face.
Most goats will scurry about, hopping, jumping, and climbing on anything they possibly can. For one little goat that couldn’t walk, however, a little bit of additional help was needed.
Fortunately, the fine folks at Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary were more than willing to lend a helping hand.
Farm animals that have a need often find themselves at that nonprofit sanctuary. They are given a lot of TLC, and that is what Hopie got when she found her way to the sanctuary.
Hopie was a goat that couldn’t walk and, interestingly, even a veterinarian couldn’t determine why she wasn’t able to lift her body as she should.

Her caretakers at the sanctuary decided to work along with her and to assist her so she could get on her feet.
The way that they were able to help this adorable goat is to put her inside of a special cart. It was created just for her, and it allowed her to stand on her legs and move around as any goat should. Hopie was walking and even running before long.
The sanctuary didn’t stop there. They wanted her to continue to try to walk and to stand without the use of the cart. At first, they were a little concerned because of her balance issues but when they tried, she was able to stand on her own four feet.
It wasn’t long before she was out walking and even running without any assistance from the cart any longer. Of course, she looks a little bit silly when she does so but it is adorable, nonetheless.
Rather than giving up on an animal, the sanctuary decided that they would do what they could to assist her have a better life. Fortunately, she is doing much better and will live out her days running happily in the field, as any goat should.
