These 5 recipes are so easy and fun. You need to try them all!
Pumpkin Peanut Butter Banana Cookies
That is a mouthful to say but tastes great!
1/3 cup canned pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter (make sure it does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
3/4 cup banana flour (gluten free)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl with a spoon. Finish by mixing the dough with your hands.
*If the dough seems a little dry, add a tablespoon more of pumpkin.
Roll out dough on floured counter to about 1/4 inch thick. Then use cookie cutters to cut dough.
Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes for small cookies (pictured) or 30 minutes for large cookies.
Allow to cool completely before serving or storing. Store in an airtight container.
Banana and Cranberry Ice Cream
A non-dairy option that is delicious and nutritious. My dogs love these all year. You can even add in different fruit as it comes in season.
2 ripe bananas
Mash the bananas in a bowl until they are a smooth consistency.
Then spoon the banana into silicon ice cube trays. My favorite are paw print trays.
Place a couple cranberries in each one. Then place in the freezer for a couple of hours.
Remove from trays and serve one at a time. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.
