Noise-Canceling Headphones Help Our Furry Friends with Loud Noises

New headphones for dogs can help them when they struggle with loud noises, such as thunder or fireworks.

We live in a world that is very noisy. That noise can affect us on a very personal level and can even affect our health.

According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, noise pollution could even cause health problems, such as ‘stress related illnesses, high blood pressure, speech interference, hearing loss, sleep disruption, and lost productivity.’

It’s little wonder, therefore, that our dogs also suffer from the same problems. Loud noises, including lightning, sirens, car horns, or fireworks can cause them distress.

Fortunately, there is now an option to help your pet with such a difficulty. It is known as the PAWNIX Noise-Cancelling headset, and it reduces the volume of any loud noise.

The headsets allow the noises to be effectively reduced by 30 dB. This is enough to lower the sound of a fireworks show to be similar to a dishwasher.

How Do the Headphones Work?

In order to reduce the noise, the headsets do create some brown noise that is harmless and masks the loud noises from outside. You can control it from a phone or tablet using an app.

The noises put out by the headset are also limited to remain within an acceptable range so as to not hurt the hearing of your dog. The maximum level for the background noise is 50 dB, which is approximately the noise most refrigerators make.

This unique idea was born thanks to Emma. Emma is a small dog that had a difficult time with loud sounds and was always stressed when hearing them.

Emma Loves Her Headphones

Emma’s human, KP, recognized the need and did something about it. Many dogs would benefit from this, as some 30% suffer from storm anxiety, and many of those could end up developing separation anxiety, according to the AMVA.org.

As evidence of the benefits of wearing these noise-canceling headsets, Emma is shown boarding a plane. Despite the loud noises associated with take off and flight, Emma is perfectly happy and calm and simply enjoying the ride.
