Adopting a pet can be so exciting! The potential of a loyal friend and companion is appealing to many, but finding the right fit can be a challenge.
Dogs have widely varying temperaments and needs, and while they’re all lovable, some are definitely a lot of work. That’s why Christine Clauder, a Texas resident who volunteers with Abandoned Animal Rescue, has put together a very special website to help “Hank the Hellion” find his perfect match.
PleaseAdoptHank.com (warning: language) went live just a few short weeks ago, with Clauder using the site to both search for Hank’s perfect match and vent her frustrations as the foster mom of what she calls “the world’s brattiest dog!”
“This a****** likes to keep you company, no matter what you’re doing. Cooking? He’ll f****** stand in between your legs and trip you up while you’re holding knives,” the site explains. “We’re all tired of Hank. Not because we don’t love him, we’re just TIRED. It’s like he drank ALL OF OUR COFFEE,” Clauder continues.

Hank was found on the side of the road, malnourished and abandoned. When “Found Dog” posters in the area didn’t get a response, Clauder worked with Houston-based Friends For Life to get his needs taken care of.
Clauder added on YouTube that the family “have tirelessly been working with him, and he’s taken to training very well, which just proves me right that I knew he was smart!”
Clauder explains that the humorous slant of the site, as well as its unabashed use of four-letter words, is intentional, writing on her site: “With my background in digital marketing, I decided to build a website, so I secured the domain and hosting, and started to craft a winning website that would attract potential adopters. Having laid out the basics, I realized that – while his bio might be amusing – the site needed more spiciness. So I dropped the f-bombs. A lot of them. A f***-ton of them.”
Hoping that the irreverent tone would attract just the right fit, she continued: “I don’t expect Hank’s future owner to love the cursing or even curse at him, but I do expect they need a thick skin and a sense of humor. Hank makes us laugh every day with his shenanigans; I want Hank’s family to get just as much enjoyment out of him [as] we are.”
The site has had an auspicious start, with applications rolling in shortly after it went live. However, no decisions have been made and Hank still eagerly awaits the perfect match. Maybe it’s you!
