Handsome Matisse Would Like to Speak to You About a Forever Home Situation

Meet Matisse! This handsome boy with unusual markings is a very shy kitty who likes to watch on the sidelines rather than be in on all the action. While that could all change once he’s comfortable in a forever home and feels safe and secure, for the time being, Matisse likes his space and prefers to love from afar as he hangs out on a cat tree or his comfortable space.

Matisse is currently in foster care through the Southern Arizona Cat Rescue in Tucson. This large boy is thought to be 3.8 years old and has no special needs. He will accept affection after he takes his time to adjust, but he needs a family who will understand and give him room until that happens.

Matisse does talk a bit and is not shy about telling his people what it is he needs — or at least wants. He will likely do best with a family who will be patient with him and give him time to acclimate to a new environment, as he may take longer than other kitties. Nevertheless, he is very much worth the wait for the special bond you’ll form with him, according to his foster caregiver.

They also believe that for his comfort, it is probably best that Matisse has a forever home where he can be the one and only king of the castle with no other pets. He could, however, have a forever home with older kids that respect his needs and space.

Sweet Matisse is neutered, current on his vaccines, dewormed, house-trained, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
