Owner Mortified After Grooming Session Leaves Dog Looking Like Pennywise

A dog owner was left mortified after a grooming fail left his pup looking more like Pennywise than a Labradoodle.

Reddit user u/ItsDaJman shared the photos of his co-worker’s dog in the sub “Justfuckmysh*tup” with the caption: “‘I feel like my dog looks way too cute.’ Barber: ‘I got chu fam.'”

After being posted online, people were quick to point out the similarities between the dog’s new haircut and the spooky clown from the movie adaptions of the novel It by Stephen King.

In the movies and novel, Pennywise is a shape-shifting and alluring clown who preys upon children in the town of Derry, Maine.

“‘Gimme that emaciated pennywise look’ Barber: ‘say no more, fam,” one person joked in the comments. Meanwhile, some groomers and people familiar with the industry were more than happy to weigh in on the haircut.

“…I hear horror stories about Doodles at least twice a day. Apparently like 1 out of every 5-10 are so matted underneath the top coat that they need to be shaved down..” one person shared.

“Dog groomer here. Even if the dog was that matted… Why leave the ears? That looks ridiculous! At least make it more proportionate,” another added.
