This Thanksgiving, over 50 shelter pets were thankful to catch a Flight to Freedom. We couldn’t have done it without your support, so thank you!
The 35 dog and 20 cat passengers were taken from overcrowded shelters in Louisiana and Alabama and loaded on this month’s Flight to Freedom to New Jersey.
In the early morning hours of November 20, the dogs and cats of all ages were loaded on the plane and began their journey. They landed safely in New Jersey a few hours later and were greeted by smiling faces.
Pets like Squishy, Lionel, and Lucien found as strays are all eager to meet adopters and finally find a loving home. All of the animals will get the second chance they deserve. They send their thanks in the form of soft purrs and kisses.
The receiving shelters for this flight were St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue and Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue. Please reach out to them if you are interested in adopting one of the passengers on this month’s Flight to Freedom.
Highly adoptable dogs and cats are at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and adopters. That is why GreaterGood sponsors a Good Flight, called Flight to Freedom, with our nonprofit partner Greater Good Charities every month to help save lives.
Sadly, there are countless more dogs and cats waiting at shelters for their second chance. Help us fly even more pets to freedom by donating towards the fuel cost of next month’s flight.
Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety. Donate here. Together we CAN change the world.
