Bindi Irwin, conservationist and wildlife activist, has accomplished a lot at just 23 years old. The daughter of late great Crocodile Hunter and environmentalist Steve Irwin, Bindi has been in the public eye since she started hosting her own TV series, Bindi the Jungle Girl, at the age of 9.
Now, she not only continues her parents’ mission of preserving and celebrating Australia’s diverse wildlife but has started a family of her own.
She married fellow wildlife activist Chandler Powell in March of 2020, and they welcomed daughter Grace Warrior Powell in March of the following year.
Already “a legend at spotting wildlife” according to her dad, Grace was also captured having an adorable “conversation” with the family’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Piggy:
Juggling their roles at the Australia Zoo, where they live and work, with their roles as parents has proven a natural combination. Grace is an energetic baby, and the beautifully preserved wildlife habitats prove the perfect place to expose her to the natural world.
“We always find that the more we do with her, the more walks we go on, the more animals we introduce her to, the better she sleeps that night,” Irwin told People, adding, “She loves adventures, and she’s such a happy, inquisitive little person. We can already tell: She’s definitely an Irwin.”
