Golden Retriever Goes Bonkers When His Dad Proposes To His Mom In Viral Video
Dogs make everything better, including happy moments like getting engaged.
But they may also steal a bit of the spotlight with their adorable antics.
A super excited golden retriever named Sonny made one of the best days of his parent’s lives even more memorable.
It started out as a normal day at the beach, but everything changed when they went to take a family photo. Madison, Sonny’s mom, thought they were taking a photo but Jack, Sonny’s dad, had other plans.
The camera was instead recording what would be one of the best proposals, thanks in part to Sonny.
As his dad got down on one knee to ask his mom to marry him, Sonny couldn’t contain his excitement any longer and got a case of the zoomies.
Before Madison could say yes, Sonny distracted them with his running fit all over the beach and even passed between them a few times.
After laughing at their exuberant pup, the couple hugged, and the ring was placed on Madison’s finger.
The video was shared on TikTok and went viral, of course.
Some wondered if Sonny was in on the secret… and apparently his mom thinks he was too.
Madison commented, ‘I think Jack has pre prepared Sonny and he was in on it! “Finally the secret is out!”‘
Others wrote what they thought Sonny was thinking. “It’s happening! Oh my God! It’s happening!!”
Many said it was the “best” or their “favorite” proposal video they have ever seen, and we agree.

Sonny was such a big part of the proposal that Madison’s followers asked if he would be in the wedding. Her reply was, “We are not sure if Sonny is going to be in the wedding because he gets very excited.”
The adorable pup did such an amazing job (he apparently ran in the shape of a heart and infinity sign) that people are convinced he is a “paid actor”. In a follow-up video Madison asked Sonny how he was paid…which was clearly with kisses, pats, and belly rubs.
