Sweet Golden Retriever Walks Girl To The Bus Every Day For School
They say dogs are man’s best friend and we’re constantly seeing examples of why that’s true. Samewise the golden retriever is one shining example of that thanks to his beautiful friendship with an 8-year-old girl named Evey.
As Evey and Sam’s mom, Jen Hullet, shared with The Dodo, the sweet dog has been BFFs with little Evey since they welcomed him into their home back in 2020.
He was just a puppy at the time, and the then 5-year-old Evey quickly formed a sweet bond with him. In fact, Evey and Sam have become so close over the past 3.5 years that the dog walks Evey to the bus every day for school and greets her the moment she comes home as well!
Speaking with The Dodo, Jen explained that Samwise took over bus duty when it became “uncool” for Mom and Dad to do it.
Since then, he’s been doing it every day without fail.
Jen shared a video of Sam walking Evey to the bus on TikTok and it quickly went viral, racking up millions of views.
“This is one of the many reasons why we love our golden boy,” she wrote in the caption.
In the video, she said, “Every day our golden retriever Sam makes sure his girl gets on the school bus safely. He always comes straight back to the house afterwards.”
