Meet Gino, The Adorable Pooch Known For Being The World’s Oldest Dog

Many of us wish that we could set a record. There are even some people who strive to set records on a regular basis and to get their names written in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Some records require a lot of practice but others just come naturally. That includes being the world’s oldest living dog.

Of course, none of us are ever going to achieve being the oldest living dog, but 22-year-old Gino did it without thinking.

According to the Guinness World Records, Gino was born on September 24, 2000, and adopted in 2002. At the time before being adopted, Gino was at Colorado’s Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Today, he is the love of Alex Wolf’s life.

40-year-old Wolf says that Gino was able to live such a long life because he eats a balanced diet and has a lot of zest for life. Wolf gives him all the credit and he also gives him a lot of love.

Like many people who have a dog in their life, Wolf wouldn’t have it any other way.

That proud owner also talks about how Gino lives an active life. According to the Guinness World Records, he says:

“When he was younger, he used to love exploring my parents’ huge backyard with our other dogs in Manhattan Beach, going on walks off the leash in Venice, going on drives along the coast blasting music with his head out the window, or running around on the golf course in La Quinta.”

They sometimes say that laughter is the best medicine and Wolf admits that Gino makes them laugh every day. Perhaps it rubs off, but in any case, we’re so happy that this adorable dog has been around so long.
