BREAKING NEWS: Giant Food Stores has announced a voluntary recall of three UPCs of its Companion Canned Dog Food due to possible metal contamination.
Ingestion of metal can lead to choking on discomfort, and, in worst cases, result in death. Please see the affected products below.
Why was it recalled?
This product is being voluntarily recalled as a precautionary measure due to metal contamination that could potentially be a choking hazard to pets. According to a company representative, this recall was prompted by concerns by the manufacturer. Giant Food Stores have yet to receive any consumer complaints.
What can you do?
If your dog shows signs of discomfort or choking please contact your veterinarian immediately.
