Frisco, 12,000th Pet Transported By Good Flights, Finds A Loving Home In Wisconsin

Do you remember Frisco?

The 1.5-year-old German shepherd mix was the 12,000th pet to be transported by Greater Good Charities'(GGC) Good Flights out of an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana and flown to Wisconsin on our December Flight to Freedom.

He arrived at Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) and instantly made friends with all staff members and volunteers. After picking out a new toy to play with, he settled into his new environment with hopes that it would be a short stay.

The good boy was tired of waiting and hoped that his special someone would arrive soon, and she did. A woman was captivated by his sweet and playful demeanor and his adorable artwork he created with his paw was icing on the cake.

Frisco found his happily ever after and is thriving in his new home. His family shared with HAWS, “Frisco loves the cold and the snow for being a southern dog. His favorite day is Saturday because it’s steak day. Frisco has several comfy chairs to choose from for naps and he loves to play!”

Success stories like this are what we wish for all shelter pets and why Flights to Freedom are so important in helping overlooked shelter pets get a second chance.

Join us in helping even more homeless dogs and cats find loving homes by donating towards this month’s Flight to Freedom. Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.
