Is that a bird? A plane? And floppy ears, too?
With support from your donations, we’re saving the lives of shelter pets by sending them on Freekibble Flights to Freedom. The next Flight To Freedom is August 15, and will give Tigger, Angelica, Andy and other pets another chance at finding a loving forever home.
Here’s why this program is so important.
When shelters become overcrowded in the United States, many of them have no choice but to euthanize adoptable pets, even when other shelters have room. Millions of perfectly adoptable pets may be put to sleep this year.
“Of the 3 million cats and dogs euthanized in shelters each year, approximately 2.4 million (80%) are healthy and treatable and could have been adopted into new homes,” reports the National Kitten Coalition.
With your help, we’re working to change that.
Freekibble Flights to Freedom works with Wings of Rescue to save homeless pets by flying them from overcrowded shelters to no-kill shelters with room where they’re immediately adopted.
Your help has made it possible to save thousands of animals from euthanasia. Over 100 cats and dogs are flown to safety each month. This year alone, Wings of Rescue has flown 10,000 pets to their forever homes.
Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety. Help us save the lives of these adoptable pets. Click the button below to make a difference.
