Shelter Dogs & Cats Get Second Chance To Find Love On Flight to Freedom

On February 20, over fifty shelter dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters in Alabama and Louisiana will board a Flight to Freedom headed to Wisconsin.

These good boys and girls were overlooked and possibly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and adopters. Shelters, especially those in southern states, continue to struggle to find homes for all the pets in their care. That is where Greater Good Charities’ Good Flights swoops in to rescue them. We sponsor a flight every month, called Flight to Freedom, and with your continued support will help save the lives of countless homeless pets.

These life-saving flights wouldn’t be possible without your support, so thank you!

Meet just a few of the pet passengers on the flight and what their current shelters had to say about them below.

Pierre

This sweet boy is looking for someone who will love him unconditionally. “Pierre is the quiet type, but don’t let him fool you, this stocky boy is full of love. He came in to the shelter with a quiet calm demeanor, but he is starting to open up around his favorite staff. He has a heart full of love and is ready to give it to the one that provides him his forever home.”

Stormy

“Stormy is ready to explore, this adventurous girl loves to climb and explore. She wants to find all the hidden areas and see anything new to play with. She is ready to find a partner for her adventures!” She will be your constant source of entertainment and joy.

Ricky Bobby

“Ricky Bobby is ready to go fast, the pup is full of energy and spunk. He loves his walks on a leash and is ready to brighten somebody’s life by getting them moving just as much as he does!” He is always up for an adventure and promises to be the best friend you ever had.

Tye

Tye was surrendered to the shelter because his previous owners couldn’t continue to care for him. This dog is the perfect size, not too big, not too small, and all he wants is to be as close to you as possible. He is ready to find his forever home.

Each of these pets and dozens more will get to find a family of their own. Without this flight, many of these pets would be at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and adopters. They will instead get a second chance at a happily ever after.

Help us fly them to freedom by donating towards the cost of fuel and expenses. Just $5 will fly a shelter pets 125 miles towards safety.
