A life in a shelter can be very stressful and nerve-wracking for dogs. They are all alone and don’t have a family to love or care for them.
Sadly, some spent their whole lives in shelters and never get the chance to experience that love. But some are lucky enough to get adopted, and feel that love and finally get to be a dog for the first time.
A girl named Emmy has an organization named Emmy’s Hope, which provides donations to a local dog shelter in Laguna Beach, California, and helps dogs there find their forever homes.
Emmy visits the shelter often, and has developed a close bond with many of the dogs there, especially an adorable little dog named Fox. She would sit with him in his kennel, and hold him close every chance she got. She wanted Fox to know that he was still loved, despite not having a home.
Emmy hoped and prayed every day that Fox would get adopted. Luckily, he finally was! Kleenex helped Emmy’s dream come true, by not only adopting out Fox, but for also running an adoption day that brought a whole crowd of people to the shelter to meet the dogs with hopes in adopting them. Thanks to Emmy and Kleenex, more than 40 shelter dogs found families!
Emmy had no idea this was happening, and she was overwhelmed with emotion when she was greeted by the groups of people who were waiting outside the shelter to see the pups. What an amazing moment, not only for Emmy, but all of those dogs who are getting adopting!
