Having a pet is extremely special. They are not only pets, but they are family members. They are part of our lives, but to them, we are their whole life. And when we lose them, a piece of us is missing.
On Christmas Eve in 2013, Julio lost his beloved Great Dane, Duke. He ran away from their Oklahoma City home and was nowhere to be found. Julio searched for him for months, but to no avail.
In March 2016, Duke was found by a rancher in Texas, 350 miles from his home in Oklahoma City! The rancher brought him to a vet who was able to identify his family from his microchip. They contacted Julio who was shocked and thrilled to hear that his best friend had been found.
Julio drove 4.5 hours to reunite with Duke. Duke remembered Julio, and their reunion was so sweet. Watch it in the video below:
Growing up, Ashley always had a passion for writing.
