Get the tissues ready, this story is quite a touching one. We all know that in the last few years, the Humane Society of the United States, like many other animal charities, has been working tirelessly to save animals from the dog meat trade in Asia.
When the Humane Society heard about a dog meat farm located in Haemi, South Korea, they immediately sent their Animal Rescue Team to get it shut down.
It was a horrific place, where more than 170 dogs were kept chained up as they awaited a gruesome end. Thankfully, these dogs got one lucky break when the animal rescue team showed up.
It took some time, but the rescue group worked tirelessly to empty out all the cages and get the dogs to a better place. One of the last dogs to be rescued was a sweet little pooch named Lou. The poor thing had been bred on an endless cycle in order to supply the dog meat trade with puppies.
