Max The Rescue Dog Thinks He’s A Mermaid
Labrador retrievers are known for being water dogs, but a goofy lab named Max is taking things to the next level.
You see, Max the yellow labrador retriever seems to think he’s a mermaid and it’s hard to keep him out of the water!
In a video with We Love Animals, Max’s owner, Christine, explaiend that Max was rescued when his owners decided they didn’t want him anymore.
Max was neglected before his life with Christine in that his former parents didn’t take his health into account. They let him get severely overweight and he was suffering because of it.
As a way to start losing weight, Max’s vet suggested Christine take him swimming – and boy, was that a hit!
When Max first dove into the water, Christine was worried that there was something wrong, but she quickly realized he was doing it on purpose.
“You see the legs sticking out and then the dog is gone. It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” Christine explained.
Strangely enough, Max doesn’t like all water. In fact, he hates baths and isn’t a big fan of pools either. Instead, he prefers natural bodies of water like oceans, lakes, and ponds!
