Dog Saves Struggling Woodchuck In The Middle Of The Water

Dogs are some of the sweetest, and most easy-going animals around. They usually get along great with creatures of all kids.

Perhaps that is why there are some animals who feel comfortable enough asking a dog for a favor – like this particular woodchuck who needed a little help getting back to shore.

When Wally the golden retriever was out and about with his family, he ended up encountering a little woodchuck in need.

Given Wally’s breed, the happy pooch loves to spend time in the water. But what was unusual was the fact that a woodchuck was in the water as well, and no one is quite sure why or how he ended up there. However, one thing was clear: He was ready to get out.

Unfortunately, the woodchuck needed help to get back to shore, and that is where Wally came in. The friendly pup was only too happy to help out a new friend in need.

His owner, Lauren Lynde, was quite surprised to see how easily he let the small critter climb aboard his back before he swam them both back to shore.

Then, in a sweet display of solidarity, the two animals booped noses before the woodchuck scampered off.

It’s incredible how animals communicate with one another.
