They say dogs are man’s best friend and there’s a reason for that. There’s just something irreplaceable about the bond that forms between dogs and humans.

When a young child gets the chance to grow up with a dog, it’s something extra special.

A young girl in Xinyang, central China’s Henan Province has one of the best friends a girl could ask for: an adorable little pup.

The sweet dog walks the 5-year-old girl to the school bus every day and waits at the bus stop when she gets home!

Their mom shared the videos on Douyin, explaining that the little dog, who she’s had for around 6 months, is both loyal and smart. She’s so smart, in fact, that she can recognize the difference between regular cars and the girl’s school bus.

According to the Daily Mail, the dog’s mom said, “Although it is just a little dog, [it] can distinguish the sound of a school bus. It does this every morning and afternoon for my daughter.”

The girl seems pleased to have her loyal companion by her side and it’s easy to see why. The dog is such a great companion!
