Diva June Would Like to Relieve You of the Duty of Ruling Your Own Castle

Meet June! The best way to describe this gorgeous girl is “one of a kind” and “beats to her own unique drum.” At 5.5 years old, she’s a mature lady with a touch of diva and wants to be the queen of your — soon to be hers — castle, thank you very much!

According to Southern Arizona Cat Rescue, June tends to keep to herself. Nevertheless, she really likes having HER person. At her foster home, for example, she chose the teenager of the family and follows him around everywhere, even monitoring him from afar, always keeping an eye out.

June isn’t a cuddler but she likes to be near you, whether it’s hanging out on the couch or sleeping on a pillow at bedtime. She also loves getting some chin scratches.

As mentioned previously, June has some diva tendencies (as every queen should!). She puts on a tough act as she adjusts to a new environment and growls to communicate at first. Once she is comfortable, however, she loves to be acknowledged when you enter the house or room, maybe get a quick pet, and go about your business.

June also likes to have something to do so she isn’t bored, like the monitoring of her person/home, toys she plays with herself, and cat TV on YouTube. She loves watching the birds and critters!

When it comes to food, she isn’t shy to let you know when she is hungry. The queen also loves her vittles! As to her beautiful, fluffy fur, she does require brushing to keep her coat tangle free.

One thing you should know about June is she’s very clever and can open doors! This crafty queen does not enjoy being locked away in any rooms of her castle, so you can forget about that.

June’s ideal palace will have an experienced cat owner/family that can handle her quirks and at least someone who’s home often, a water fountain for cool, refreshing sips, and no kids. She truly does like to be the queen of the house, so no other animals are preferred.

Trust us, she makes up for the lack of other animals with her outsized personality.

June also possesses a slower GI tract. This causes her constipation if not treated, but it is managed quite easily with a daily inexpensive medication she takes just fine! She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is also house-trained, has no special needs, and is thought to be okay with dogs, but she’d still likely prefer to rule solo.

This unique girl truly is a wonderful kitty and can’t wait to find her purrfect forever home, even if she doesn’t initially show it readily. If interested, please fill out an adoption application on the SACatRescue website.
