Dennis is a 4-year-old border collie. And in an age of social media where plenty of pets go viral for their cute looks or adorable antics, we can see why Dennis is gaining popularity. This dog has a unique condition known as strabismus. That means that his eyes tend to go in two different directions.
While he’s a happy and care-free dog today, he didn’t always have it so. Dennis was left at Dogs Trust in England. And, according to Facebook, the rescue center had a struggle finding Dennis a forever home because of his eye condition.
Thankfully, Dennis soon caught the attention – and hearts – of 38-year-old Liz Parkes and her partner, who were in search of a friend for Milo, their 6-year-old Collie.
“My name is Jubilee. I’m a 4-year-old female husky who has been with Husky House for a long time. I came from a ‘breeder’ who couldn’t sell me because he said I was ‘weird’ looking. Huskies are majestic looking dogs and I don’t know why I don’t look like them,” the post read. “I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog.”
“I like other dogs, but I don’t like cats. I love people, but I’m a little shy because people mostly laugh at the way I look.”

“Doesn’t anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I’m not pretty.”
According to The Daily Mail, the couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary with Dennis and treated him to a special cake decorated with dog bones and heart-shaped treats.
Husky House also included a link where those interested could fill out an application to adopt Jubilee, noting in the comments section that only those who lived a “reasonable distance” from the Matawan shelter would be considered, as the group requires home visits as a part of its adoption services.
