Get Better Grades — Pet a Dog!Matthew M. Sullivan
Kids LOVE Tabo! And that’s not hyperbole — research shows that, when petting Tabo (or, really any dog), the brain experiences increased oxytocin levels. Oxytocin, the chemical in the brain most closely related to the emotion of “love,” also reduces stress hormones in the body.
That’s why having a dog like Tabo in the classroom is so beneficial! Studies have shown that, when students pet a dog directly before a presentation, their stress levels are significantly lower than children who stroked a plush dog, or had no dog-like interaction at all.
But of course, you all knew this well before they even performed the study — dogs eliminate stress!
Find out more about how Tabo makes all the difference in the video.
