A scary situation for a toddler named Harper from Long Valley, NJ ended peacefully thanks to the bravery of her rescue dogs. When a black bear wandered into her backyard, Harper cried out for help but her mother Emily was too far away to do anything.
Luckily, Harper’s dog Chief and her two other rescue dogs took care of her by chasing the bear away into the woods. Harper and her mother have no hard feelings towards the bear, realizing it wasn’t acting in a malicious manner. “I’m not mad at the bear,” said Emily. “I was mad at the bear yesterday.” Thank goodness for her dogs!
