Chicago Animal Shelter Pleads For Adopters As They Reach Full CapacityAndrea Powell
Wagging tails, doggie kisses, batting paws and soft purrs can all be yours when you adopt a loving fur child. A no-kill animal shelter in Chicago is pleading with the public to come out and adopt, as they have reached full capacity.
PAWS Chicago is the largest no-kill shelter in the city. “These are the pets we know best and we want to find them the perfect home! Stop by our Lincoln Park Adoption Center from 11 am to 6 pm this Saturday and Sunday. By rallying the community and generating more adoptions, PAWS will be able to take in and save more dogs and cats this summer,” the shelter posted on Facebook.
There are hundreds of animals that are still need to be rescued. The shelter cannot take in any stray or rescued animals until the current residents are adopted. In order to entice loving homes, the shelter has announced that the adoption fee for the “long-time” residents will be waived this weekend.
Check out the available animals on their website. The ones labeled “Summer Lovin” have their adoption fees waived. Save two lives by adopting a dog or cat. Each animal deserves to have a loving home.
