We all have dream jobs. Maybe you want to be an actor. Maybe an athlete or a veterinarian. Well, prepare to change your goal! A veterinary clinic in Dublin, Ireland, is looking to fill a very specific job: cat cuddler. Yes, it means what you think.

Just Cats Veterinary Clinic put up a unique job posting, and it quickly made waves across the world!

The posting sounds too good to be true. It includes questions like, “Are you a crazy cat person and loves cats? Does cattitude come naturally to you? Have you counted kittens before you go asleep? Does petting cats make you feel warm and fuzzy?” These questions seem to apply to pretty much everyone. Applicants also need to be soft spoken and “capable of cat whispering to calm the nerves of some of our inpatients.”

Other delightful qualities they are looking for include the ability to understand different types of purring, a natural “cattitude,” a history of helping strays, and “hands capable of petting […] cats for long periods of time.” All things every cat parent knows how to do.

Salary isn’t listed (although most people would pay them to pet cats all day), and there are a few requirements that are fairly steep. Just Cats are only considering applicants with a background in veterinary medicine or nursing.

Still, we’re hoping that Just Cats sparks a trend and we see more vets stateside looking for professional cat cuddlers. There’s no question many of us would be jumping at the chance.
